The holistic facial treatments
Md formulations
Md formulation products are made with glycolic acid and pH balanced to be gentle. Glycolic acid is a form of Alpha Hydroxy Acid and is found naturally in sugar cane. This product and other specialised ingredients help exfoliate dead skin cells and increase moisturisation of your skin. As the dry outer skin layer is exfoliated, fine lines and wrinkles become less noticeable, skin tones become balanced, and younger, healthier, smoother looking skin is revealed.
Md formulations can be used at home in conjunction with your usual skin products or for out standing results the extensive range can be used alone. For ultimate result we recommend the salon treatments, which offer a stronger peel and of course have the relaxation and pampering in our tranquil surroundings.

intensifier is added, which works to resolve the
most stubborn and problematic skin conditions.

Aromatherapy
The ultimate experience of the combined effects
of smell and touch is in a professional aromatherapy
treatment.
All our aromatherapy treatments are administered using original essential oils and products. Aromatherapy is use to treat a whole range of conditions and is believed to work on people both physically and psychologically.
The first part of the theory is that when you
smell an essential oil, it triggers your limbic
system, the part of the brain that controls your
emotions and stores and retrieves learned memories,
and relaxes you. The other part of the theory
is that the essential oils ore absorbed through
the skin, and have medicinal properties which
act on the cause of the problem. Just some of
the conditions aromatherapy is use to treat are:
» Anxiety, stress
or insomnia
» Muscular aches and pains
» Headaches
» Asthma
» Eczema
» Digestive problems
» Menstrual or menopausal problems

Frequently Asked Questions
Waxing treatments
Q:What is hot wax?
A: Hot wax is the best hair removal treatment
on the market made from beeswax with added resins
and oils, it’s completely natural. The wax
is applied to the skin thickly then left to set
and removed quickly. By applying the hot wax directly
onto the skin it opens the pores, ensuring that
the hair is removed with minimal discomfort. It’s
especially good for coarse hair and is much less
painful that strip waxing.
Q: How long should I leave
between wax treatments?
A: Normally 4-6 weeks but it depends on the individual,
most people visit the salon more often in the
summer as hair grows quicker in the heat.
Q: Do I need to take my
underwear off?
A: If you are having a Brazilian or Hollywood
bikini wax you will need to remove underwear,
so that the technician can get to the area without
restrictions giving you the best results. If you
are having a bikini line or g-string wax, it’s
not always necessary but it’s best if you
are wearing a thong.
Q: What is the most popular
shape?
A: It depends on the person, the shape is very
personal, mostly people have either a triangle,
a strip or take it all off! We are more that happy
to discuss this options.
Q: Do I need to trim?
A: No, there is no need. Leave every thing to
us, we are the experts and will ensure that all
your hair removal needs are catered for.
Q: Can I have treatments
during menstruation?
A: Yes, this is no problem at all. Please ensure
that you wear internal sanitary protection for
hygiene and comfort reasons during treatments.
Q: Is there something
I shouldn’t do after wax?
A: Tanning – we would advise that you do
not sunbath or have a sun bed for 24hours before
or after a wax. This also applies to self tanning
treatments on the same day; we would advice waiting
at least 24 hours for your waxing treatment.
Leisure Activities – Avoid heat treatments
such as sauna, Jacuzzi and hot baths. Swimming
should be avoided for at least 8 hours due to
the chlorine which could irritate the skin.
Perfume – heavily perfumed products should
not be used on the waxed area for 8-10 hours.
Q: Is there anything I
should do in between wax treatments?
A: You should exfoliate with a body exfoliating
scrub or a loofah and moisturise the skin, this
will keep the skin soft and smooth which will
make waxing easier as it will encourage hairs
to grow through properly avoiding any in grown
hairs.
Q: Do you offer men’s
waxing?
A: Yes we are a unisex salon and offer waxing
services for men.
